Why I Recommend Online Consultation
Online consultation is available via Zoom or Microsoft Teams. You can join from anywhere in Japan or overseas — no need to travel to our office.
Among our retainer clients, approximately 9 out of 10 choose online meetings — even those whose offices are within 30 minutes of ours. That reflects their genuine satisfaction with the format. You are welcome to use online consultation with confidence.
Everything that can be done in person can also be done online. The Zoom and Teams sessions are configured to allow screen sharing by all participants (not just the host), so you can share documents — court papers, employment contracts, pay slips — as PDFs during the meeting.
How Online Consultation Works
※ Zoom and Teams are used at the client’s own responsibility. If you are unable to use either platform, please select the in-person option instead.
Initial Consultation Fee
¥20,000 (excl. tax) / up to 1 hour
Payment is required in advance (bank transfer or credit card) by the day before your consultation.
Booking Process (In-Person — Kojimachi Office)
Who Should Attend the Consultation
We strongly recommend that the business owner personally, or a person with decision-making authority (e.g., Head of Human Resources) attend the consultation.
If someone without decision-making authority attends on behalf of the company, information tends to pass through an intermediary and become distorted. For the most accurate assessment and effective response strategy, we ask that the decision-maker attend directly.
Documents to Prepare
Please bring any objective documentary evidence you have. A verbal account of the background can be given on the day — a written statement is not required in advance.
Documents from Courts, Employees, or Labor Unions
- Summons, demand for written answer, statement of claim, labor tribunal petition, evidence index, evidence materials
- Union membership notification, request for collective bargaining
- Certified mail, written correspondence, guidance notices, correction orders
Employment Contracts & Work Rules
- Employment contract, notice of working conditions, job advertisement, job offer letter
- Work rules (shugyo kisoku), wage regulations, labor-management agreement
Attendance, Payroll & Disciplinary Records
- Pay slips, wage ledger, time cards, daily work logs
- Dismissal notice, disciplinary action notice, formal written warning
- Email records, screenshots of LINE / Messenger / Slack communications, medical certificates
※ We are unable to review documents prior to the consultation. All document review takes place during the scheduled appointment.
※ If bringing printed copies is not possible, please bring a tablet or laptop with the files saved, or use the online consultation option with PDF screen sharing.
